Window Shopping

We’ve been making a bit more of an effort with our window displays lately — this mainly involves getting volunteers more creative than me or Steve to do them for us. Claire did this one for us last week to coincide with Mothers Day week, and so it seems only fitting to hand over the blog to her for her to talk about it a bit…

We recently decided to spruce up the windows with a bit of a Mothers Day theme. We wanted to create a display with a range of items suitable for everyone’s mum! As you can see from the pictures the focus was on accessories. Mums love a good scarf, or bag, and can never have too many shoes! A spring colour palette was the initial starting point for the window, so most of the items are in nice mum-friendly pastel shades.

All the items in the window are donations sourced from our Aladdin’s cave basement where all the donations are processed. The majority of the items pictured have now sold, so we are obviously getting in some top quality goods that everyone wants to buy- keep up the good work!

The window is in quite a prominent position so catches people’s eye as they pass by on foot, by bike, or on the bus. So if you see something you like you must pop in quick to snap it up before it goes!

We are planning more themed window displays, so watch this space…
